For those of you in the Lexington, Virginia area might be interested in attended the Thirteenth Annual Rockbridge Wine Festival. It will be held on Saturday, September 8 at the Lime Kiln Theatre from 12-5 PM. You can purchase discounted tickets ($14 for wine tasting) until August 31st. At the gate tickets will be $16.

Guests will enjoy sampling wine from thirteen regional wineries. Local purveyors will be on hand with food to purchase and sample. "As always, we are excited to feature Virginia wine and will highlight past favorites as well as some new wineries. I can think of no better way to spend a Saturday in September than with great friends while sampling great food, wine, and music," says Chamber Director Sammy Moore. This year's event again has many past award winners from the Virginia Wine competition. The ticket price includes wine tasting, music, and a commemorative glass to be distributed at the gate.

Of course, no festival is complete without music and this year's line up is as good as ever! Pirates of the Pans will begin the day and hopefully get everyone in the mood with their Caribbean sounds. There will be bluegrass and folk played throughout the day. To wrap up a perfect day don't miss the ever-popular Pop Rivets, who will bring the curtain down on the event like only they can.
