2003 Lismore Range
Filed in archive Australian Wines on May 26, 2007
We just opened up our latest box of international wine and discovered a 2003 lismore range merlot from South Australia. The flyer included says that this is "ruby and robust" and great with cheese. Oh, my! I'm afraid that screws the diet tonight!
I also found it over at International Wine.com:
Armed with a pair of pruning scissors and muddy gloves, Geoff Hardy set out on his quest to build the largest viticultural business in Australia. Now, his name is synonymous with quality Australian wine. This ruby, robust Merlot has a soft, enjoyable character which offers a complex bouquet of black cherries and scrumptious fruitcake. It holds a sophisticated palate with earthy nuances and refined velvety tannins, which makes it a spectacularly quaffable wine with pasta and hard cheese, such as parmesan.
