600 Grapes Wine Club
Well, confession time....we joined another wine club. It's called 600 Grapes. The name comes from the fact that the average bottle of wine is made from 600 grapes. A clever name then for the club.

Though it seemed like it took forever for our first shipment to arrive, we finally got our bottles of wine. Along with the wine (4 bottles) you also receive a wine opener kit.

At first, I kind of though "big deal," but I have to admit that the wine opener is pretty heavy duty. It's not a piece of junk at all, and the other items in the kit, especially the metal stopper, are very handy. So, for the joining price of $19.95 U.S., I thought it was a pretty good deal.

We have yet to try the wine, but I'll keep you posted. Our 4 bottles included two each of the following since we opted for all red: 2004 Flaugere Vignerons Merlot and 2004 Shelby Grant Cabernet Sauvignon.

They also provided wine tasting notes in a nice glossy flyer that included regional information, complete with a map. The ex-school teacher in me loves that.
