7th Annual Stonington Vineyards Food & Wine Fest

This weekend New Englanders will have a real treat if they head down to Stonington, CT. Stonington Vineyards will be hosting their 7th annual Food & Wine Festival. There will be wine tasting, food sampling, and a concert.

Tastings, music, educational tours and food sampling are some of the events planned for the 7th annual Summer Wine & Food Festival at Stonington Vineyards on Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival will take place under a tent in the field facing the chardonnay vines.

Stonington's 2003 Chardonnay, 2005 Sheer Chardonnay, 2006 Triad Rosé, 2004 Vidal Blanc and the Seaport White will be offered in the tastings. The vineyard also will sell its newest releases, the 2006 Gewurztraminer and the 2004 Cabernet franc, which is in limited supply. Guests will receive a souvenir wine glass at the tastings. Tours of the wine cellar will take place at noon and 2 and 3 p.m.

There will also be a free production of "A Perfect Analysis Given by a Parrot" by Tennessee Williams at 1 p.m. on Saturday. More information is available by visiting Stonington Vineyards online.
