A Little Bubbly, Please

This has been a week to celebrate (for me at least!). First, my favorite team won the World Series, and second, today my little brother (who isn't so little anymore) is getting married! So, in honor of these two momentous events, I thought it would be fitting to do a round-up of Champagne news. Cheers!
Krug to offer $3,000 Champagne - OK, so this isn't for the people who balk at the price of Veuve Clicquot. Actually, I'm not sure who it's for exactly but Clos d'Ambonnay 1995 will hit the shelves in the spring, so I guess we'll find out then.
On Champagne and global warming - With all the talk about a Champagne shortage, 2007 boasted a record harvest. Will global warming/climate change mean good news for Champagne drinkers (higher supply and lower prices)? Or will it contribute to overplanting and inferior products?
Will demand for Champagne mean expanding the region? - Within the next few weeks, authorities will be making a preliminary decision on a huge expansion of Champagne vineyards. For many, it's like striking oil. But will the new division of land divide friends and family as well?
