California Wines

I've adopted a grape...and so can you. If you've ever dreamed of owning your own winery, this is as close as you can get without a huge expenditure of time and money. Adopt a Grape is a real winery, located on Spring Mountain in the Napa Valley wine district. Via their Web site, you can pick a plot of Cabernet Sauvignon or Petite Verdot grapes and follow that fruit from bud break through the growing season to harvest to barrel to bottle. Better yet, it's free. Adopt a grape will send you periodic updates or you can check your progress via the site's blog. What a fun way to learn about winemaking!
