Anime Pink Sparkling Wine

If you enjoy Prosecco, you might be interested in a Prosecco blend called Anime pink. It's a delightfully dry sparkling wine from Italy's Veneto region. It is a blend of 5% Marzimino, 10% Chardonnay, and 85% Prosecco. Because it is not made from 100% Prosecco, appellation laws don't allow it to be labeled as such, but the characteristics are similar. Here's a peek at the back label, as well:

This wine is very aromatic with lots of fresh fruit, especially strawberries, on the nose. But don't let the fruitiness fool you. On the palate it is bone dry with hints of peachlinks and apple. I found it to be a tad bit yeasty, but not in a bad way.

Pink sparkling wines are always very festive, and this would be a nice choice to bring to a New Year's Eve party. It retails for around $15.
