April is filled with wine festivals and other wine events as the weather warms around the United States. Here is just a sampling:
April 2-5, 2008 - Taste of Vail - Vail, Colorado
This four-day festival (pictured above) features food, wine tastings and seminars, wine vendors, live music, and the beautiful Colorado Rockies as a backdrop. The show is open 9am to midnight daily at multiple venues throughout Vail.
April 4-6, 2008 - Southern Breeze Wine + Culinary Festival - Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Located on the Louisiana State House grounds, this festival features a Friday night gourmet wine dinner, more than 200 boutique wines for sale and tasting, wine seminars by the Louisiana Wine School, the 1st Gulf Coast Chef Challenge, and a Sunday walkabout brunch with Champagne. The festival is open Saturday from 1pm to 5pm and on Sunday from 1030am to 1pm. Admission varies from $5 to $280, depending on the event.
April 11-12, 2008 - Michigan International Wine Expo - Detroit, Michigan

The Michigan International Wine Expo is a unique fine wine and gourmet food experience, featuring wine tasting and seminars along with sampling from the area's premier restaurants. The show is open daily from 5pm to 10pm. Two-day admission is $50.
April 23 - 27, 2008 - Beaufort Wine and Food Festival - Beaufort, North Carolina
The 4th Annual Beaufort Wine and Food Festival features premier winemakers and celebrity chefs with wine dinners, seminars, and tastings in coastal waterfront setting. Admission is $35 to $110.
