Barefoot Pinot Grigio
Filed in archive California Wines , Cheap Wines on September 6, 2006
Again, referring to our holiday dinner this past weekend, along with seared scallops and crab legs, we also enjoyed another bottle of wine from Barefoot Wines, a new vintage for them, a Pinot Grigio.
I actually picked up this bottle a few weeks ago during one of my cheap wine ventures at the local grocery store, and I think I payed maybe around five dollars for it. A little web surfing turned up prices ranging from as low as $4 up to $7.
I found this wine very light and refreshing and it tasted great with our sea food, a perfect compliment.
Here's the blurb from the bottle itself: Barefoot Pinot Grigio is a crisp and refreshing wine with bright aromas and flavors of citrus and fresh green apple. Hints of jasminie compliment a bright, elicate, flavorful finish [...] perfect match with poultry, seafood, spicy pasta, and pizza. 13% alcohol
