Pretty much, it was everything a good Merlot should be, fruity and a little smoky, but not overly strong. Hey, and of course, I love a cool wine label as well.
Here are some notes from the Barefoot Wine web site:
Wine Description & Tasting Notes:
Barefoot Merlot is a luscious wine with alluring flavors of boysenberry and chocolate. Hints of anise
and subtle tannins complement the decadent, silky finish.Medals & Accolades:

"Soft nose with nice berry, raspberry, blackberry, plum and some smoky oak and floral notes. The moderate intensity palate is smooth and clean and mostly red raspberry, plum and cherry with some light tannin before a medium length, fruity finish... well done and a great bargain."...The Colorado Wine News
