Black Swan comes out of Southeastern Australia and offers a variety of wines including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, chardonnay, Shiraz-Merlot, Chardonnay-Semillion, and Shiraz-Cabernet.

Along with making all kinds of wine, these folks also help support the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), and considering their mascot is a swan, I can't help but give them a few extra points for that. My latest cheap wine discovery at the grocery store is Black Swan Shiraz, two bottles for $9.99. I purchased one bottle, so it tailed up (before taxes) to an even five dollars at the cash register.

Even if this bottle was a few dollars more, I would give it the thumbs up, but at a mere five dollars, I have to give it two thumbs up. It had a nice dark berry flavor to it with a little spice to boot. I am definitely going to keep my eye out for this when it's on sale again and maybe stash a few bottles for future weekend dinners.
