Boston Wine Expo

If you live in or near the Boston area, you will certainly want to check out the 17th Annual Boston Wine Expo, taking place February 8 - 10, 2008 at the seaport World Trade Center. It's the largest trade and consumer wine event in the country and will no doubt offer attendants an amazing food and wine experience. The Grand Tasting will offer more than 450 international and domestic wineries from 13 countries. Over 1,800 different wines will be poured.

Saturday One Day Ticket: (Prior to 2/1) $85.00; $95.00 (After 2/1 and at the door)
Sunday One Day Ticket: (Prior to 2/1) $75.00; $85.00 (After 2/1 and at the door)
Two Day Ticket: (Prior to 2/1)$140.00; $160.00 (After 2/1 and at the door)

I'll be attending the Grand Cru Wine Lounge on Saturday, and will meet another local wine blogger too.

As an avid wine drinker, I was less than impressed with the Grand Tasting. Would you recommend the smaller events as being better? Better for people who actually understand something about wine and how it is meant to be enjoyed?
