Buffalo Grove Merlot

That includes recently opening a bottle of 2004 Buffalo Grove Merlot, which we got from one of our wine clubs.
I didn't manage to find a web site for Buffalo Grove, other than some town in Illinois, but I did find this wine available through the International Wine Sellars web site for about $15 a bottle:
2004 Buffalo Grove Merlot
Code: BGMW04
Producer: Adler Fels
Style: Dry Red Wine
Merlot is rarely bottled on its own anywhere in the world besides California. Their warm growing seasons help this early ripening achieve perfect sugar levels while keeping a fine balance of acidity. Sporting a dark purple color with violet highlights, the Buffalo Grove Merlot offers fresh aromas of cherry, raspberry and damp earth. Deep flavors of ripe red fruit, solid structure and subtle tannins result in a smooth and rich finish.
Varietal: Merlot
Country: United States
Region: California
Another hardy but not over the top wine with a 12.5% alcohol content, this is actually one of the best Merlots I've enjoyed in awhile.
