2003 Uva Negra Cuvee Martina - Cabernet Franc
Lying at the foot of the Andes
Mountains and on the edge of the fertile Pampas grasslands, the Alvarez family vineyards are surrounded by an arid climate and protective mountain ranges. The high temperatures provide a template for wines featuring sensuous dark aromas and tannins. With abundant amounts of sunlight and little rain, the vineyards are nearly free of fungus which otherwise threatens grapes. In honor of a young girl who lives next to the vineyards and assisted the winemaking, the wine received the name Cuvee Martina, also known as "Martina's Red." As 100% Cabernet Franc, the wine has a solid structure and round tannins with intense aromas of wildberries, vanilla and coconut. Varietal: Cabernet franc
Country: Argentina
Region: Argentina
Love the story about the little girl - I was wondering who she was.
