French Wines

France's Champagne Wine District (outlined above) is looking to expand its boundaries, a move than would add approximtaely 25 percent more vineyards, according to the weekend's International Herald Tribune. The large Champagne producers as well as the Syndicat Général des Vignerons de la Champagne, the region's wine growers' union, support the move.
