Cheap Wines
by tammy on August 8, 2006

Like its white counterpart, the red version of this is nothing to rush out and buy a case of and I wouldn't necessarily fill my wine cellar with either one, but for the price, it was pretty good.
It actually reminded me of a table wine we had the few times we dined at our local Club Med. They offer a Gourmet buffet on the weekends, and if we had fewer pounds on our bodies and more cash in our wallets, we'd be there every week for the fabulous food - including caviar, white asparagus, salmon of all kinds, and more. On each table sits a bottle of red table wine, and you can get as much as you'd like, or you can help yourself to the white wine in small frigs set throughout the dinning area.
But, I digress. The label pictured is from Duty Free who describes this as a "very much a superior quality Table Wine. This smooth, medium bodied fruity red wine is easy to drink on its own or with a meal. Exceptionally good value."
I think value is the key word here. If you plan your own buffet and don't have a bunch of wine lovers to impress, then this may be worth stocking up on a little.

the wine was bought out of curiosity from a family member. As a joke by the price.... but he presented it to me with no knowledge of price etc... & it was pretty darn good. Flavor exceptional... alchol volume could be higher. Not to be dissed.
