Spanish Wines
by tammy on November 14, 2006

Now, I personally consider Sauvignon Blanc a step up from Chardonnay. Granted, I'm talking about a step, not a huge difference when it comes to quality, but step non-the-less.
After searching around the the Internet, I found reference to this particular wine all over the place, which I found refreshing since a good number of the international wines we receive we can't always locate again that easily. For example, Martin Scott Wines offers this for $10.99 (US) a bottle:
Country: SPAIN
Region: CASTILLA LA MANCHA
Sub-Region: LA MANCHA
Grape Varietal: TEMPRANILLO
Type: Still wine
I can't say I was overly impressed by this bottle, though as I'm not a huge Sauvignon Blanc fan generally speaking, that's not to say it isn't a good wine. I just wouldn't go so far as to call it a great wine, but like I said, I liked the opportunity to try a white variety from Spain.
