Fires Threaten Mendocino Vineyards
Filed in archive Wine News by Sandy Mitchell on June 28, 2008

As of this morning, there were 60 fires raging over 28,430 acres in Northern California's Mendocino County, home to 340 vineyards and 50 wineries. So far, the only wine districts affected are the region south of Ukiah and the land surrounding the small town of Navarro. Governor Schwarzenegger has declared the county a state of emergency. For a frequently up-dated map of the live fires, follow this link.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the people in Mendocino.
