The wine blog Fermentation pointed out a column by Bill Daley that recently appeared in the Chicago Tribune.
The column looks at the book Good, Better, Best: A No-Nonsense Guide to Popular.
I like the idea behind the book. Basically, it gives readers a list of relatively inexpensive wines to try and walks them through the experience involved in tasting the wines. It's intended to give the reader an experience with a wide variety of grapes.
Daley goes on to give his own list of ten wines to try - wines that could broaden your experience with wines. Daley's recommended wines range in price from $6 to $22 - they the $22 wine is a three liter box. I plan to try several on his list.
