Laroche - Ick or Ou La La?

Even with the screw cap, I really wanted to like this bottle of Chardonnay 2005 from Laroche. Even with the fact that I'm not much of a Chardonnay drinker, I figured, hey, it's French. They know their wine. It must be good.

And, well, if you like Chardonnay then you will probably like this wine. However, if you are not a Chardonnay fan, this wine will not turn you into one, which is what I was hoping for I guess.

Laroche Wines does have a pretty web site, though. I don't read French, but I enjoyed some of the beautiful photographs on line.
