Lobster Key Sauvignon Blanc
My husband, who is even less of a fan of white wine than I am, immediately set this bottle of Lobster Key 2004 Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough aside when we received it as part of a wine club shipment. The screw cap only reinstated his desire not to drink this wine.

Better for me, or so I thought, as I added it to my area of our make-shift wine cellar. (I have my own rack.)

But, yes, he was right. I was less than impressed. Here are some tasting notes provided on the distributor's web site for what it's worth:

Premium Sauvignon Blanc sourced from selected vineyards in Marlborough, Wairau and Awatere Valleys. Reduced crop yields have to maximize fruit concentration has produced a wine with intense flavors, excellent balance of acidity and classic aromatic intensity.

For me, the acidity level was just too much.
