Note: Everyone has deficiencies in their experience with wine. For example... in my opinion, if you haven't tasted Brown Brothers Orange Muscat and Flora then you've missed one of the best dessert wines on earth. Me? before tonight I'd never tried a South African Shiraz Pinotage. I'm drinking a glass as I write this - from Sebeka. It's interesting. And I'll buy more...
Decantor interviewed Michael Mondavi last week. Mondavi says that over the next year a number of California wineries are likely to change hand "under duress." The Recession has been hard on California wines. People drank more of the cheaper imports and less of the more expensive US wines. Mondavi says that many wineries have dramatically cut the price of reserve vintages - which damages their brands. In the year to comes, many wine growers will toss in the towel and sell.

Sebeka? Try Kanonkop for a real SA Pinotage. Great producer, former winemaker of the year. Best
