Working alongside individuals of all ages, races and backgrounds, Dr. King encouraged Americans to come together to strengthen communities, alleviate poverty, and acknowledge dignity and respect for all human beings. Since we live in the South, this is a pretty big holiday down here as he obviously had a huge impact on how we all live. Plus, it's warm enough down here for parades, picnic, and barbecues. So, there are lots of celebrations going on.

We are keeping it pretty low-key at our house and have a little bbq for two planned today, which means the traditional burgers and red wine.
