EVeryone is getting on the blog band wagon these days, and that includes wine blogs. One of the lastest member of the wine blogosphere is at the Wine Compass site. Already known as a wine resource, full of information on wine events and much more, Wine Compass.com now announces their new blog:

Wine-Compass.com announces the launch of a new wine blog: winecompass.blogspot.com.

The Wine Compass Blog supplements the Wine-Compass.com wine directory by providing more current tasting information as well as expanded coverage of events and tours. In addition, the blog will enable users to communicate more effectively with the Wine-Compass editors and other wine consumers. Currently the Wine Compass Blog contains previews of the South Beach Wine & Food Festival and reviews of a few wines from our favorite wineries. In the future, the blog will be updated to include portions of the Wine-Compass.com Wine 101 series as well as weekly wine and event reviews.

The Wine-Compass.com directory will continue to provide a map-based interface to allow users to search for wines and events in their area from close to 4,000 wineries in the United States and Canada. Several improvements have also been implemented so that users can easily forward event information to a Friends list and view their wine reviews in a single location. Finally, the Wine 101 section is being upgraded to provide information on wine-making techniques such as Ice Wine and Malolatic Fermentation.
