From Novato Advance:
With appearances by race car champion Mario Andretti, founder of andretti winery in Napa and veteran wine publicist Harvey Posert, dubbed "The Pragmatist" in the movie gives a candid inside look at today's wine glut and how it effects both the wine industry and the wine consumer.
"A State of Vine" is an eclectic way of look at the diversity of the California wine industry.
This diversity can be seen in the selection of wineries included in the film, including cult wineries and mass producers, a custom crush and environmentally sustainable winery, a kosher winery, an ultra premium winery and the first winery owned by a Mexican migrant worker.
"It's a nice, light entertaining look at wine for people who know a little bit about wine or for people who are in the industry," said filmmaker Don Scioli of his movie.
You can view the trailer on www.astateofvine.com. Currently the DVD is only available through the Web site, but it should be available at other retailers soon.

Can't wait to check out these movies. I think Alan Rickman, one of my favorite actors, is starring in one of them.
