Pick a Wine - Red, White, or Rose
Filed in archive Wine Tasting on September 22, 2006
With cold weather on the way or even already hitting some areas North of moi, that usually means heavier red wines become popular. But, many of us, and not just those way down south like myself, are not quiet ready for winter yet. So we can still feel like it's okay to wear a pair of white shoes while we drink some rose wine and not feel like we are being unfashionable in our attire or choice in wine.
To help with our end of summer wine tasting, Randy Buckner at the Wine Lover's Page offers us a long list to select from: We have a hodgepodge of wines this month for your perusal, hailing from Australia to France. Prices range from $5 to $55 - we all have our own price classes and individual needs. I have also cherry-picked some of the top wines from this year's International Pinot Noir Celebration for you.
Another 100 new and current releases are presented for your inspection. The dual rating system evaluates quality (the first number) and value (the second) on a 100-point scale. No wines scoring below 80 points are listed. All prices are the manufacturer's suggested retail price. Vendor prices are often less expensive. As always, enjoy a bottle with dinner tonight.
Yes, 100 wines to consider, and they've organized them on the list in the following categories: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Merlot, Miscellaneous, Petite Sirah, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc, Sparkling Wine, Syrah, and Viognier.
I especially appreciate that they have the prices of the wine prominently included in the list.

I think that red wine or white, its all depends on personal choice and wine quality. For me quality is more important. Most of the time I choose to drink red wine and either one is good for health also. I am not that keen on ice wine but I don’t mind. Also, check this page that is all about the wine red topic http://www.wine-expert-101.com/Wine-Red.php
