Sangria Sorbet
Filed in archive Food and Wine on June 25, 2007
I reported awhile back about a company called Wine Cellar Sorbet. They have figured out a way to transform the flavors of vino into a yummy cool dessert. I see that they are expanding, with stores in New York, New Jersey, and Florida (yippy!). They also look like they are planning an on-line store at some point on the company's web site.
Since my last look-see, they have actually added a lot of info over there including some recipes like this one which incorporates their Sangria sorbet, called a Champagne Float:
Name: Champagne Float
Category: Cocktail/Smoothie
Author: Sorbet Sommelier
Ingredients: your favorite Wine Cellar Sorbet varietal
semi-sweet sparkling wine
confectioner sugar
Directions: Powder rim of Champagne flute with sugar
Place 2 oz scoop into Champagne flute
Pour sparking wine
