Sonoma Station Merlot
Filed in archive California Wines on August 10, 2006
This 2004 Sonoma Station Merlot (13.5%) was an excellent wine. Too bad it's not that easy to find any more.
I did find the The Wine Buyer had a 2003 vintage of this wine on sale for $9.99, but this was another bottle we received through 600 Grapes, and it is now out of stock. But, I'll tell you about it any way.
Your typical Merlot, fruity with overtones of cherry and berry flavors, this is a pretty Hardy wine, not for the timid red wine drinker. We had ours with a little smoky swiss cheese, but this vintage could have easily held up to a spicy dinner.

We also received this wine through 600 grapes, the 2004 vintage. We also throuroughly enjoyed and were looking to see where we could purchase it again. We live in Va. Beach VA and find 600 grapes a little expensive!!! anyone who can help find this wine we would apreciate it. Thanks
