Speaking of Wine Clubs
Filed in archive Wine Clubs on April 29, 2006
Since I've already been talking about my wine clubs, I thought it was past time for me to actually mention them by name. Both are from A Taste of California.
One club, no big surprise, is their california wine club: Each month, you'll receive two bottles of premium wines that are simply not available anywhere else. Each is from a different winery. Each will be personally selected by our expert Wine Panelists. It's like having your own personal wine steward to serve superb vintages selected just for you.
The other club is their International Wine Club: Take a global tasting journey from a hidden mountain valley in Chile to the steep, stony slopes of Germany's Rhine River, from a family trattoria in Tuscany to the fertile South African vineyards of Paarl. Each month, you'll receive two bottles of value-priced wine, one red and one white, personally selected by John Davis and his award-winning Wine Panel.
We've been receiving wine through these clubs for a number of years now and have been really happy with the service and quality. They also have two other clubs available: World Classic Wine Club and Connoisseur's Wine Club.
What I like about wine clubs is that it pushes you to try new vintages you might not normally pick up in a wine shop or grocery store. I find it really easy to go with what I know I like already rather than trying something different, and with a club, you never know what you're necessarily going to get.
