Wine Related Contests
by Carol Bancroft on October 28, 2007

Some might say that Wine Spectator's "Top 100 Wines" list is kind of like when the oscar nominees are announced. Everyone's excited to see who got the honors. Sometimes the choices are obvious and make sense. And sometimes the choices leave us asking, "What were they thinking?" And we also know that these kinds of lists are just as much a marketing tool to sell wines as an indicator of how great a wine really is. Plenty of wines that are deserving of being on that list never get there for whatever reason.
And if you'd like to win an amazing six-pack of wines that are great, but won't be making "the list" you should check out domaine547's Wine Spectator Top 10 of 2007 contest. Make your predictions and comment on the entry. The person who comes closest to the actual picks will win. It's as simple as that!
