Hello to my fellow oenophiles! I'm Carol Bancroft, your new blogger here at Celebrate Wine. I'm excited to have this opportunity and I only hope I can do as great a job as Tammy while I keep you informed about the world of wine. My interest in the subject started back when I was in college and dating a sous chef who worked at a French bistro in the Berkshire region of Massachusetts. I learned bits and pieces from him and then continued to try new wines on my own. When my husband and I met we discovered that we shared a love for wine and it became our hobby. For our honeymoon we travelled to Bordeaux, France and visited some of the wonderful vineyards there. (Oh, if I could I would go back in a heartbeat!). We have even made our own wines from local blueberries, plums, and other fruits, as well as mead made from local honey (some batches have been great successes, and other have been... well, let's just say they were interesting experiments). I now help run a small wine shop in New York. When I'm not tasting wines or talking about wines (I know, I have a tough job!) I'm busy keeping up with my assignments as a freelance writer. I enjoy reader feedback, so I do hope you will comment freely!
