Viva Viognier

I was so happy with Pepperwood Grove's Cabernet Sauvignon, I was hoping the sale would continue when I made my next trip to the store. And, lucky me, it was, $5.99, normally $6.99 (which is still a pretty good price I thought).
This time, while I was tempted to go with the same selection from the week before, in my effort to branch out more on the white wine side of things, I decided to try their Viognier.
I hit another jack pot. A taste of citrus, but not overly dry, this is my new favorite white wine.
Here is some info from the Pepperwood site:
Winemaker's Comments
Pale straw color with aromas of lemon zest and jasmine with a hint of pink grapefruit. The palate is full with green apple, light cinnamon & clove flavors which underscore the ripe apricot and peach nectar and finishes with honeyed tropical notes.
Serving Suggestions
This is a great Thai food wine. My favorite is Emerald green curry with eggplant over jasmine rice.
