What did you get?

Did anyone else get any fun or exciting wine gifts over the holiday? There were a few wine-related gifts exchanged at my house. My husband gave me a copy of A Hedonist In The Cellar by Jay McInery, a book I've really been wanting to read. You can look forward to a review in the near future. He also gave me a bottle of Hakutsuru Sayuri Sake. I'd sampled it at a tasting back in the spring and absolutely loved it. I'm very excited to have a bottle in the house and I'll be sure to share my tasting notes here.

I bought my husband a couple bottles of wine as well - two bottles of Twisted Oak wines. (Though, truth be told, they are just as much for me as they are for him!) I chose the 2005 *%#&@! (a red blend made from Mourvedre, Syrah, and Grenache) and the 2006 Calaveras County Viognier. I'm very excited to try both of these!
