Wine Cubes at Target

I braved the Christmas crowds yesterday and went...gasp! shopping! And, yes, it was just about as bad as you can imagine - hard to find parking, loads of shoppers, and very little help from store employees generally speaking. And that's not to make a statement against them. The probably is that there aren't enough of them.

But, while I was picking up a crock pot for my husband (yes, he actually asked for that) a blender for my sister, and a few things for moi, I discovered that Target of all places is selling wine and wine accessories. While he did have wine in bottles (mostly Chardonnay), they also had wine in these cubes as well.

Here's what Target has to say about their wine cubes:

Mixing color, aroma and flavor to provide a fresh, full-bodied taste from the first glass to the last drop, Target offers guests the opportunity to experience the Wine Cube and Mini Wine Cube in a number of varietals - Chardonnay, Australian Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Shiraz, Australian Shiraz, and a Cabernet/Shiraz blend.

Target selected the perfect blends of wine for the Wine Cube and Mini Wine Cube, while Trinchero Family Estates of Napa, Calif., vinted and packed the Cubes, creating a boxed wine with superior taste and quality. The cubes are available at Target and SuperTarget stores across the country that sell wine.

Serving as the perfect answer for everyday wine lovers, the Wine Cube and Mini Wine Cube are filled with delicious, high-quality wine without typical hassles such as high prices, broken corks and a limited shelf life once opened. The Wine Cube holds the equivalent of four bottles of wine and the Mini Wine Cube holds the equivalent of two bottles of wine.

Easy to stack, pack and carry, the Wine Cube and Mini Wine Cube are perfect for on-the-go gatherings-picnics, family reunions, tailgates, barbecues, holiday parties and more.

To prevent spoilage, an innovative ramp evacuation system within the cube ensures that the wine is never exposed to oxygen. This unique system makes it possible for the wine to last six weeks after opening and guarantees that every drop is as good as the first.

The 3-liter Wine Cube, which retails for $15.99, is available in seven varieties including, Chardonnay, Australian Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Shiraz, Australian Shiraz and a Cabernet/Shiraz blend.

The 1.75-liter Mini Wine Cube, which retails for $8.99, is available in two varieties including, Pinot Grigio and a Cabernet/Shiraz blend.

Hey, slap a bow on one of these puppies and Santa has arrived!
