Naples Winter Wine Festival is over and that means it is time to divie up the loot (a total of 14.2 million dollars) and pass it around to the various children's charities they support every year with this wine tasting event. That should be happening some time today according to the report the Naples, Florida News Press:

The day the charities benefiting from the Naples Winter Wine Festival has arrived, with the festival's foundation set to award $14.2 million in proceeds from the 2007 event at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Trustees from the Naples Children and Education Foundation - the festival's funding arm - will award $7 million to 21 Collier County children's charities, and another $7.2 million granted to a group of agencies involved in long-term strategic plans.

The $14.2 million is the most money awarded by the foundation in one year to the greatest number of organizations.

The ceremony will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort at Tiburon on Airport-Pulling Drive in Naples.
