Wine in a 4 Pack

Happy Memorial Day to those in the States. This three-day weekend holiday is often full of parades and events where we remember and celebrate those who are no longer with us. This includes outside events like parades or family picnics. So, I thought this wine four pack idea, as described by "Portions perfect for picnics" seemed pretty appropriate:

Several wine producers are offering picnic-friendly packaging to make bringing along wine even easier. [...]

Turning Leaf Vineyards packs ($7.99) include four bottles and are available in merlot, cabernet sauvignon, white zinfandel and chardonnay. In August, Turning Leaf will also offer pinot noir.

Gallo Family Vineyards Twin Valley is also offering several varietals in four-packs of mini bottles ($5.99). Spokeswoman Shakun Matani suggests the Twin Valley chardonnay with a smoked turkey sandwich or the Twin Valley cabernet sauvignon with fresh vegetables.

Pretty brilliant! Maybe you didn't manage to get out and about this weekend, but there's the 4th of July just a month away.
