Today sees the launch of the inaugural Berry Bros. & Rudd 'Podcask', the first in a series of audio podcasts from the 309 year old wine merchant. Simon Berry, Chairman of Berry Bros. & Rudd, introduces the first episode - about the upcoming Bordeaux 2006 en primeur tastings - direct from 'the parlour' at the back of the eponymous London shop in the heart of St. James's.
This is the first in a series of audio podcasts from the oldest wine merchant in the world. There are immediate plans for daily audio reports from the Bordeaux en primeur tastings during the week commencing 2nd April, and moving forward episodes on topics as varied as matching food and wine, and an introduction to the fundamentals of wine (with content from and presented by the course leaders of the fabled Berry's Wine School).
This is a further online innovation from Berry Bros. & Rudd, a company that has successfully married old world charm and values with 21st century technical know-how - its web site regularly wins awards and plaudits as being the best place to learn about, and buy, wine.
