California Wines
by Sandy Mitchell on July 6, 2008

Located just inland from Monterey Bay is Pietra Santa, a california winery that crafts wines in the style of Tuscany. Particularly refreshing for summertime sipping is Pietra Santa's 2007 Rosato, a dry, cherry-colored rose, made from 100 percent Dolcetto grapes.
This crisp, vivid wine combines the taste of berries with a citrus-like finish. It's ideal for a summer picnic or to accompany summer salads and light pastas. The 2007 Pietra Santa Rosato is available throughout the United States and retails for $15.
