Wolftrap Wine
As seems to be more and more the case lately, we've been receiving more wine bottles with screw caps from our wine clubs, especially from our international wine club. We'd had this bottle of 2004 Wolftrap sitting in wine rack for some time and finally opened it last week.

After my husband unscrewed it, I playfully sniffed the cap as he read the ingredients from the back of the label to me:

"Merlot 47% - Grenache Noir 14% - Malbec 14% - Syrah 12% - Ruby Cabernet 8% - Cabernet Sauvignon 4% - Cinsault 1%."

"Whooo....Think it's a blend?" I asked sarcastically.

"Ya, think?" he replied.

And we settled down to taste test a blend that seemed to have everything but the kitchen sink it, a Dagwood Special if it was a sandwich.

Even though I still have issues with screw caps and I'm not usually a huge fan of blends, this was a very good wine, very rich and spicy and now I'm kind of disappointed that we don't have another one in our wine stash.

You can read more, including the wine notes and specs, on this vintage from the bottling company's web site: www.vineyardbrands.com
